Institute of Supply Chain Management (ISM)

Institute for Supply Management® (ISM®)is the oldest, and the largest, supply management association in the world. Founded in 1915, the U.S.-based not-for-profit educational association serves professionals and organizations with a keen interest in supply management, providing education, training, qualifications, publications, information, and research.

ISM currently has 50,000 members in more than 90 countries. It offers two qualifications, the Certified Professional in Supply Management® (CPSM®) and the Certified Professional in Supplier DiversityTM (CPSDTM), and, in partnership with the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, sponsors CAPS Research.

International Association of Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM)

The International Association for Contract and Commercial Management (IACCM) is a not-for-profit professional organization with the stated mission to “…identify and promote the international standards and practices for defining and managing trading relationships.
IACCM’s membership is drawn from 164 countries, 16,800+ corporations, and many industries. It is made up of contract managers, commercial managers, sales, negotiators, supply chain professionals, and attorneys. As of October 2016, it has a membership of over 40,000.
IACCM offers training and certification service, conducts research and benchmarking to identify trends in contract and commercial management. Original research in areas including contracts, legal and sourcing can be commissioned.

IACCM was founded in 1999 with support from British Telecom, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Lucent Technologies, Marconi Communications, and Siemens.

Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS)

The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), formerly the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, is a United Kingdom-based global professional body working for the purchasing and supply professions. With an objective of “leading excellence in procurement and supply”, it aims to promote good practice and provides services for the benefit of its 115,000 members [1] and the wider business community.
CIPS aims to promote and develop high standards of professional skill, ability, and integrity among all those engaged in purchasing and supply chain management. Its headquarters are located in Easton on the Hill, just inside Northamptonshire, near Stamford, Lincolnshire.

The International Institute for Advanced Purchasing & Supply (IIAPS)

IIAPS is a not for profit organisation, dedicated to the raising of international standards in purchasing and supply management. The main activity of  IIAPS is the establishment of advanced international standards for purchasing and supply chain professionals worldwide. To attain Full Professional Membership (MIIAPS) candidates must successfully complete the Institute’s International Green, Red and Black Belts in Advanced Purchasing & Supply.

American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS)

APICS is a professional association for supply chain management and a provider of research, education and certification programs.

In 1957, 20 production control managers formed the American Production and Inventory Control Society. The organization later became an international association known as APICS.

APICS merged with the Supply Chain Council in 2014 and with American Society of Transportation and Logistics (AST&L) in 2015. APICS offers several professional designations.
