OutPerform SRM – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
SRM / SPM Systems
Question 1: What SRM / SPM system would you recommend we implement ?
Answer: Having extensively looked at the Market place for SRM /SPM there are currently 27 Vendors offering off the shelf SRM / SPM systems. Of these about 8 vendors offer systems that are focused specifically towards the needs and complexities of the Oil & Gas industry.
As we are an independent consulting organisation we want to remain neutral in this respect and as such we do not make recommendations for one vendor above the other.
As each Organisation has different needs for their SRM / SPM Initiative we can only advise / make recommendations based on the characteristics / needs of your initiative. Depending on the objectives and needs of your Initiative we can most likely recommend a shortlist of suitable offerings. For quick 15 minute chat to allow us to make a recommendation for your initiative contact us or if that does not work and you would like the full listing drop us an email and we will send you the list.

Linking Supplier Payment Terms to their Performance
Question 1: Is it possible to link the Terms of Payment for a Supplier to their actual Performance level?
Answer: Yes this is possible and has been a topic of conversation that has generated a lot of interest and opinions. Suppliers that constantly perform well should get paid on better terms (quicker) than those that are under-performing. You do need a band based system of recognition which clearly states payment terms based on score. While achievable it needs to be carefully planned and implemented. You can find out more information and industry opinions on this matter by reading “Linking Supplier Payment Terms to Performance Levels – Payment for Performance (PfP)” or by if you are not on LinkedIn discussion boards by contacting dropping us an email and we will send you a PDF of the Article.
